How does the free trial work?

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial and no card is required. The trial is built to prove the scoring is honest: 5 resume analyses, unlimited match runs, your 10 strongest matches in full detail with complete gap analysis, and 3 ATS keyword deep-dives. The full ranked list, unlimited analyses and ATS coverage, AI resume tailoring, unlimited saved roles and email alerts come with a pass. When the trial ends nothing is deleted — your account simply drops back to the free view showing your top three matches, and your resume and preferences stay saved.

How is my match percentage calculated?

Your resume drives the score. It is a weighted blend of four parts: how much of the posting's required skills your resume evidences (55%), how closely the job title lines up with the roles your resume already shows (20%), how close the role's level is to where your resume says you operate (15%), and location and work arrangement (10%). You only tell us two things — where you would work, and whether remote or hybrid is on the table. Arrangements you rule out are the one filter applied first; everything else is weighed, not deleted.

Why are some of my match scores low?

Because they should be. Smart Role does not inflate scores to make the list look encouraging. A low score means the role genuinely diverges from your experience or preferences, and the gap analysis names exactly which requirements you do not currently meet.

What is ATS keyword coverage?

Applicant tracking systems screen resumes for keywords drawn from the job posting. For each role Smart Role compares the posting's keywords against your resume text, reports a coverage percentage, and suggests where each missing keyword belongs — your summary, your skills list or a specific experience bullet. Only add keywords that are genuinely true of you.

Is my resume private?

Yes. Your resume file is stored in private storage that only your account can read, and your analyses and preferences are readable only by you. Resume text is sent to an AI model solely to generate your analysis and tailoring suggestions; it is never sold, published or shared with employers.

What does full access to Smart Role cost?

Most people buy a Job Search Pass: $39 once for 90 days of full access, with no subscription and nothing to cancel. Lifetime Access is $99 once if you would rather own it outright for every future job hunt. There is also a $19 per month plan if you prefer paying month to month. All of them unlock the same thing: every ranked match instead of your top three, full gap analysis and scoring detail on each role, ATS keyword coverage and AI resume tailoring per job.

Is there anything to cancel?

Not with a pass or Lifetime — those are one-time payments that never renew. When a pass ends you simply drop back to the free top-three view with all of your data intact, and you can buy another pass whenever you are searching again. If you chose the monthly plan, cancel from Upgrade → Manage billing and you keep full access through the period you have already paid for.

Where do the jobs come from?

Open postings are pulled daily from four job feeds — Remotive, Arbeitnow, Adzuna and Jooble — covering remote roles plus on-site and hybrid listings across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, India, Singapore and the Gulf. Because the same role is often published on more than one feed, we fingerprint each posting by company, title, country and work arrangement and collapse duplicates into a single entry. Every match links straight to the original application page.

Can I get email alerts about new jobs?

Yes. Your matches are re-scored against new postings every night, so alerts reflect what arrived without you checking back. In Settings you can switch on high-match alerts and set the score worth an email, add a Monday weekly summary, and manage saved searches — save a set of filters from Browse jobs and we send one daily digest when new postings fit it. Alerts are limited to one email per type per day, and they send while you have an active pass, Lifetime or monthly plan.

How many resume analyses do I get?

During the 7-day trial you can run up to five resume analyses, which is plenty to upload, fix the weak spots and re-check. With a Job Search Pass, Lifetime Access or the monthly plan, analyses are unlimited so you can re-run one every time you rewrite your resume.

Does Smart Role apply to jobs for me?

No. Smart Role finds, scores and explains the roles worth your time and helps you tailor your resume for each one, but you submit every application yourself. That keeps you in control of what is sent and to whom.

Job availability is based on what the source platform displayed at the time of search. We do not guarantee the role is still open or accepting applications.
