How matching works

Smart Role does not rank by recency or keyword stuffing. Each open role is scored against your resume and your stated preferences, then explained in plain language.

Where the jobs come from

Smart Role pulls open postings from licensed job feeds and partner job boards, refreshed every day. That covers remote roles plus on-site and hybrid listings across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, India, Singapore and the Gulf. Every posting links straight to the original application page, whether that is the company's own careers site or the board it was published on; we never apply on your behalf.

When the same role turns up in more than one place, we collapse it into a single entry, so you score and review each job once.

Alerts and saved searches

Your matches are re-scored against new postings every night, so you do not have to check back to find out what arrived. Turn on high-match alerts in Settings and pick the score threshold that is worth an email, or add a weekly Monday summary. You can also save a set of filters from Browse jobs and get one daily digest when fresh postings fit it. Email alerts send on an active pass, Lifetime or monthly plan.

The score

A match percentage is a weighted blend of six sub-scores. You can see each one on the role page.

Location & arrangement10%Any city, state, country or region you name, plus remote, hybrid or onsite.

Work arrangement comes first

One thing is not a trade-off: work arrangements you ruled out. If you only want remote roles, on-site postings never get a score. Everything else is weighed, not deleted.

ATS keyword coverage

For each role we compare the posting's keywords against your resume text, report a coverage percentage, and suggest where each missing keyword belongs — summary, skills or an experience bullet. Only add what is genuinely true of you.

Honest by default

The resume read names weaknesses with a concrete fix, and low match scores stay low. A score you can't trust is worse than no score.

Job availability is based on what the source platform displayed at the time of search. We do not guarantee the role is still open or accepting applications.
